When do you paint my rooms? Does it need to be at night time?

No not at all, I do this during the day time. I can do this Monday to Friday and even weekends if that works best for you!

Do I need to paint my ceiling BLACK?

​

No. White ceilings give the best results due to their ability to reflect the glow given off by the paint.

Who Can get a hand painted Nightsky Magic 3D Ceiling?

I currently service Sydney, Greater Sydney, Wollongong and parts of the South Coast. Central Coast and Newcastle

Will I see the stars on my ceiling in daylight?

 

No. The paints I use are virtually invisible by the day. Cool hey!

How long will my Nightsky Magic mural glow for?

​

You Nightsky Magic masterpiece will shine brightly all night long... and for years to come! My paint manufacturer guarantees their paint for 5 years. There are Nightsky Magic ceilings out there that I painted over 13 years ago that are still glowing strong!

Will it hype up my kids before bed?

 

For sure, your kids will be excited to get to bed to see the magic. That’s only natural.

This is phase one and a good one for you as they actually want to go to bed! 

​

Phase two sees them focus on the stars and it clears their minds of the day’s events and they relax, ready to dream.

 

Phase three is a good night sleep  for everyone, WOOHOO!

How long does it take to paint a room?

​

This depends on the size of the room and the detail that you want. I've painted small ceilings in around an hour and a half while larger rooms may take up to 4 hrs.

​

The paint dries in an hour or so and is completely odorless. There are no toxic paint fumes or unpleasant smell.

​

What is the cost to do a room?

​

Prices start from $250 for a room up to 3 m x 3 m with ceiling heights of less than 2.7m. You can add additional elements to customise your creation based on your budget.

What kind of room preparation is required?

​

As your Nightsky Magic creation will last for years, make sure that your ceiling is in a good condition. If you have mould or flaking paint, I would say this is the time to fix it up.

​

White is the best ceiling colour for Nightsky Magic to do its thing. The darker you paint your ceiling, the more you take away from the effect. 

​

As I will be using paint drop sheets and covers to protect your furniture, it’s a good idea for you to clear the tops of draws and dressers before painting commences. 

​

What if my child is afraid of the dark?

​

Don’t worry about not having a bed light in the room to make your kids feel safe and secure - the Nightsky Magic ceiling will throw off a beautiful soft glow to keep them feeling safe and relaxed and ready for a great sleep. 

​

The darker you can have your room at night time, the more amazing the effect will be. Any light that comes in through windows or doors will take a way from the magic.

How can I make my stars shine brightest?

​

To experience the best effect, it is important to make sure your stars are fully charged. This can be done by leaving windows open during the day to let ambient UV light charge up your magic. If you don’t have much in the way of sunlight, no problem! You can use a UV black light bulb (which I can supply) to super charge it. This is by far the best way to get the wow factor and to ensure it lasts all night. Just 20 minutes of black light charging is all it takes!!
